Androgynous, egalitarian feminism runs deep in American culture. For a long time, it seemed that the left had the corner on the gender confusion market, as new gender identities, theories, and perversions were invented seemingly every day.

But while conservatives have been manning the ramparts against the onslaught of rainbow flags, an insidious enemy has crept in the back door.

The Republican conservative establishment is riddled with the cancer of feminism.

American conservatives may know what men and women are, but it’s clear that they do not know what men and women are for. Until conservatism returns to a Christian view of the sexes, we are on the same rainbow train, but we are just in the caboose, tapping the brakes. 

Conservative Feminism

Conservative feminism advocates the idea that we can maintain a biological distinction between male and female, unlike the biology-dismissing left, but we can do this without submitting to any kind of teleological distinction. In other words, we can keep men out of women’s locker rooms, but we won’t keep women out of combat.

The situation is exacerbated by the reality that conservatism expects chivalrous and sacrificial behavior from men, while simultaneously insisting that anything men can do, women can do better, and in a pencil skirt and high heels to boot!

Men have a duty to do “man things,” and if they don’t, they are not “real men,” yet women are completely free to do those same things if they want. Men are neither special nor free, and it’s the worst of both worlds.
